About the role:
As a Construction Site Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and upholding regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily on-site activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure work environment for all personnel.
  • Oversee subcontractors and monitor their performance to ensure work meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, quality issues, or deviations from plans, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for client representatives, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Train and mentor site staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant certification (CSCS, SSSTS, First Aid)
  • Proven experience as a Construction Site Foreman or Site Supervisor
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritise tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
