The Role
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our commercial team. The role will be full-time on a permanent contract, in a fast-paced environment, based at one of our UK offices (Glasgow, Manchester, London or Bristol). Intermittent site visits will be required, the cost of which will be reimbursable. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, compile enquiries, and prepare take-offs.
- Analyse supply chain tender returns and prepare tender submissions using estimating software.
- Address post-tender queries, prepare budget costings, and assist with sales and estimating documentation.
- Attend pre-tender meetings, contractor days, and site visits.
- Prepare internal QA handover packs and attend pre-start meetings after contract awards.
- Manage and direct the estimating assistant and identify upcoming tender leads
Who We’re Looking For
- Degree in Quantity Surveying with main contracting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and construction estimating software.
- Positive attitude, team player, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High professional standards, honesty, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
