The Role

As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of multiple construction projects within your region, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will oversee contract management, financial performance, and compliance while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. A key part of your role will be to set and monitor regional KPIs, ensuring operational efficiency and taking corrective action where necessary. You will also play a crucial role in protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation, fostering a positive work environment, and leading site teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple construction contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and regional performance KPIs, while coordinating site teams and managing contract variations and claims.
  • Manage and mentor Site Managers, Supervisors, and project teams, while ensuring that office staff, the commercial team, and wider regional employees are supported, aligned, and working collaboratively toward business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conduct site audits, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and cash flow, oversee subcontractor payments, valuations, tenders, and procurement plans, while identifying efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, maintaining relationships, resolving disputes, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Contracts Manager with Main Contractor experience, managing multiple projects, ideally in façade remediation and cladding.
  • Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Black), First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator, NVQ/SVQ L6/L7, IOSH/NEBOSH, and relevant safety and inspection certifications.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Deep understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC), health & safety regulations (CDM 2015), fire safety, cladding remediation, risk management, quality control, and modern construction techniques.
  • Leadership & Competencies: Strong leadership, team coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to solve complex problems, make decisions under pressure, and mentor junior managers.
  • Commercial & Strategic Awareness: Commercial acumen, advanced dispute resolution, sustainability knowledge (BREEAM, Net Zero), and legal training in contract law and dispute resolution.
