Ropewalk Court is a four-storey residential development in Nottingham where Bell Building Projects delivered a comprehensive fire remediation scheme as Principal Contractor.
The project focused on replacing combustible external materials with compliant, non-combustible systems to improve the building’s fire safety while residents remained in occupation throughout the works.
The scope of works included:
• Surveys and design coordination
• Installation of new fire barriers
• Removal of combustible external materials
• Installation of non-combustible external materials
• Installation of non-combustible balcony decking systems
• Replacement of combustible spandrel panels
Working in a live residential environment required careful planning, phased delivery and clear communication with residents. Regular coffee mornings formed part of our resident engagement strategy, ensuring occupants remained informed and supported throughout the programme.
The project was completed on programme and on budget, delivering enhanced fire safety for the building while maintaining a positive experience for residents.
