The Role
We are seeking an Estimating Assistant to join our commercial team. The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment and will be based at either our Glasgow or Manchester Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Log tenders, allocate enquiry numbers, and download tender documentation.
- Input bills of quantities and quotes into estimating software (training provided).
- Manage the supply chain database, issue and coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, and save quotations.
- Update tender registers, reports, and spreadsheets; follow up with the supply chain.
- Assist with tender handover documents, regular duties of the Estimating Manager, and preparation/submission of tender returns and PQQs.
- Perform general administrative tasks.
Who We’re Looking For
- Excellent administrative skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar administrative role within the construction industry.
- Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, with a polite, courteous, and professional demeanour.
