Bell Building Projects has successfully completed a comprehensive fire remediation programme at the Echo Building in Sunderland, an 11-storey residential development comprising 180 occupied apartments.
Working in a live residential environment, our team carefully planned and delivered the works while maintaining clear communication with residents throughout the programme.
The project included:
✔ Removal of the existing perimeter fascia
✔ Installation of additional steel supports and new fascia panels
✔ Removal of combustible spandrel panels
✔ Installation of cavity barriers at floor slab level
✔ Installation of new non-combustible vertical spandrel panels
Delivering remediation works in occupied buildings requires more than technical expertise. It demands careful planning, collaboration and a resident-first approach. Throughout the project, our Resident Liaison Officer worked closely with occupants to provide regular updates and minimise disruption wherever possible.
