The Role
We are seeking a skilled individual to work under the direction of our Site Manager, assisting with the day-to-day operations on our construction sites, ensuring optimal performance in terms of budget adherence, quality control, and project timelines, while prioritising site safety and security. This position is based on a project in Portland, a large scale re-clad scheme consisting of removal of existing external combustible insulation and render system and replacement with non-combustible materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily site activities.
- Ensure all site work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety, quality, and compliance.
- Supervise site operatives and subcontractors to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Assist in coordinating snagging and defect rectification.
- Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations to minimise risks.
- Identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records and ensure all operatives follow site rules.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings as required.
- Assist in monitoring project progress against schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress to the Site Manager.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained, including site diaries and health & safety logs.
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards and company procedures.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with the Site Manager.
- Report any deviations from specifications and assist in implementing corrective measures.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience on recladding projects (preferred)
- SSSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Experience using an on-site QA system such as Procore, PlanRadar etc (preferred).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- 2 x recent references
- A strong knowledge of render systems (preferred)
