Job description
We are seeking a skilled Façade Remediation Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of facade remediation projects. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and an understanding of building construction and materials. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and construction teams to develop accurate and detailed drawings that guide the remediation process.
Duties include
- Develop detailed CAD drawings for facade remediation, including elevations and sections.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure accuracy and interpret design intent.
- Conduct site visits for data collection and create/revise technical drawings as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams for effective plan implementation.
- Assist with project documentation and provide technical support during construction.
- Maintain an organised archive of project drawings and documents.
Requirements and skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in drafting, preferably in facade remediation or installation.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of building construction, materials, and facade systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, team collaboration, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino) is a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials (preferred).
- Certification in CAD or drafting technology (preferred).
