We’re currently undertaking an intrusive survey at Rocklands, Newquay – a cliff-edge site with challenging access and exposure. To deliver the survey safely and efficiently, scaffold access has been installed to create secure working platforms and enable equipment and materials to be moved to areas that would otherwise be inaccessible.
With residential properties and commercial units nearby, our team has placed strong emphasis on clear communication and coordination. Prior to works, we engaged with residents and businesses to outline the approach, programme and any potential impacts; liaison continues throughout to minimise disruption and maintain safe access routes.
On site, our survey involves careful opening-up and investigation of the building fabric and structural elements. The approach balances technical rigour with the sensitivities of a coastal environment and a live setting.
