SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR (MANCHESTER BASED)

We are an established main contractor, based in Glasgow, undertaking new build, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial, residential and retail sectors throughout the United Kingdom.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast paced environment and based at our Manchester Office (108 Timber Wharf, Worsley Street, Manchester, M15 4NX). Intermittent site visits will be required, the cost of which will be reimbursable. Reporting to the Commercial Director, your duties will include for the following:

Duties include:

· Review of sub-contractor quotations and placement of any orders

· Preparation of pre-commencement contribution plan

· Submission of monthly interim valuations

· Site measurement

· Review of sub-contractor applications for payment with issue of any appropriate payment, pay less notices and certificates

· Preparation of monthly cost report including forecasting

· Review and action of any contractual correspondence

· Submission of final accounts

· Understanding of standard forms of construction contracts

· Attendance of site meetings and internal team meetings

· Client and design team interaction

Requirements and skills:

· Educated to degree qualification in quantity surveying

· Conversant in software packages such as Microsoft excel, word and outlook

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join our Design Team. The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment and based at our Glasgow Head Office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties will include for the following: -

Duties Include

· Copy, scan and store documents

· Check for accuracy and edit files, like contracts

· Review and update technical documents (e.g., manuals and workflows)

· Distribute project-related copies to internal teams

· File documents in physical and digital records

· Create templates for future use

· Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients

· Manage the flow of documentation within Bell Building Projects

· Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement

Requirements and skills

CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (GLASGOW BASED)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Business Development Manager to join our team. The position will be permanent and based within our Glasgow office.

Your duties include but is not limited to:

• Identify, develop and manage a target list of leads / projects to deliver structured growth in line with the Company's business plan as set out by the board of Directors

• Procure tender enquiries which align with the business plan as set out by the board of Directors
• Develop a proactive strategy for targeting key organisations and individuals in line with the business plan
• Monitor and track all sales and tendering opportunities including obtaining necessary feedback on unsuccessful submissions
• Source PQQ and tender opportunities, co-ordinate pre-qualification questionnaires submission and assisting commercial department in tender submissions and presentations

• Attend and participate in a fortnightly sales and estimating meeting with the Directors and other relevant company employees, providing an overview of your recent activities and report of any forthcoming tenders and/or orders.

Your requirements & skills:

DESIGN MANAGER (GLASGOW BASED)

We are a Glasgow based and established Design & Build Contractor, undertaking new build projects for many well-known brands. We work UK wide within the industrial, commercial, retail and insurance reinstatement sectors.

Due to a period of controlled growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager to join our business. This is a fast-paced environment, where you will have the platform to make the position your own, including scope to develop your experience with diverse building types.

Your duties include:

  • Preparation and coordination of drawings, drawing registers, schedules and specifications including from preliminary through to construction issue.
  • Preparation of preliminary design information to allow for pre-construction discussions with our Client base and/or to allow for preliminary costing.
  • Assisting with pre-qualification tender submissions.
  • Assisting with the preparation of pre-construction quotations including those quotations for such services as site investigative works, SBEM, topographical surveys, etc.
  • Obtaining planning and building warrant approvals, often staged.
  • Client and external design team liaison.
  • Review and coordination of sub-contractors and external consultants design documentation.
  • Attendance at site progress meetings and in-house team meetings.
  • Supervision and mentoring of design subordinate.
  • Management of utility applications through to receipt of project specific quotations.

Your requirements:

  • Knowledge of current building regulations and statutory approvals.
  • Must be able to demonstrate relevant experience within the construction industry, with a preferred minimum of 10 years’ experience in architectural duties.
  • Excellent technical knowledge.
  • Positive, self-motivated team player with proactive approach.
  • Competent with AutoCAD and MS office software.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR (MANCHESTER BASED)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Administrator to join our team. The position will be a permanent position and based within our Manchester city centre office. Whilst the core activities will be during normal working hours, there may be requirement for out of hours liaison and communication only, as is reasonably required. Reporting directly to our Contracts Manager, your role will be pivotal to the operational efficiency of our office. Additionally, there will be interaction with building residents, affected by our site works, which, again, will also be integral to the overall successful project delivery of those works.

 

Duties include but is not limited to:

Providing office support including customer and employee support

Keeping well organised files and records of our business activity

Maintaining our Quality Assured systems and processes

Client, customer and resident interaction and liaison

Responding to telephone calls, emails and in person enquiries and allocating as appropriate

Communicating with our supply chain

Collecting and inputting company data

Sending company communications and correspondence

Preparing and issuing documents, be that in hard or soft copy

Assisting with minor technical matters and support

Acting as a personal assistant to the operational team

Scheduling appointments and events

Log all complaints, feedback and interaction within a recognised system together with any associated resolutions, record information, rollouts, etc

Preparation of a monthly report on the resident’s interaction which will be incorporated within our overall monthly progress report to the Client.

Preparation of minutes of meetings with subsequent issue to affected parties and the saving of same within the project server.

Monitor and resolve resident’s complaints.

Reporting directly to our Contracts Manager, your role will be pivotal to the successful interaction with building residents and the overall successful project delivery for our works on site.

Duties include but is not limited to:
