JOINER FOREMAN (MANCHESTER BASED) 

We are an established main contractor, with offices in Manchester and Glasgow, and celebrate our 40th year anniversary of trading in 2022. We undertake new build, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial, residential, facades and retail sectors throughout the United Kingdom.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joiner Foreman with the full range of joinery skills to join our site team. The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment and based at our Manchester Site – Fresh Apartments, 138 Chapel Street, M3 6AF. Works will include the internal fit out works to individual flats associated with the replacement of the external envelope.

Reporting to the Project Manager, your duties will include for the following:

Duties include:

  • Supervision of tradesmen on site to ensure work is completed to schedule and to standard of finish required.
  • Undertaking of other responsibilities including inductions, site logistics and tenant liaison, allocation of labour resources and tool box talks for new starts on site within a client-facing environment.

 

Requirements and skills:

  • A positive, proactive and planned approach to every task is essential. You should be a good communicator and team player, liaising with internal team members, subcontractors and clients. A working knowledge of health and safety requirements is essential.
  • A strong Joinery background is essential along with a Valid SSSTS /SMSTS and suitable references.

The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment and based at our Glasgow Head Office. Intermittent site visits will be required, the cost of which will be reimbursable. Reporting to the Commercial Director and/or Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include for the following:

Duties include:

  • Review of sub-contractor quotations and placement of any orders
  • Assisting with the preparation of pre-commencement contribution plans
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of monthly interim valuations
  • Site measurement
  • Review of sub-contractor applications for payment with issue of any appropriate payment, pay less notices and certificates
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly cost report including forecasting
  • Information gathering to assist with the review and action of any contractual correspondence
  • Assisting with the submission of final accounts
  • Attendance of site meetings and internal team meetings
  • Client and design team interaction
  • Preparation of take-offs

Requirements and skills:

  • Recently educated to degree qualification in quantity surveying or approaching the final year conclusion of that degree qualification

CLIENT LIAISON OFFICER (MANCHESTER BASED)                                                                               

We are an established construction company, based in Glasgow, undertaking new build, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial, residential and retail sectors throughout the United Kingdom.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Residents Liaison Officer to join our team. The position will be permanent and based within our Manchester city centre office. Whilst the core activities will be during normal working hours, there may be requirement for out of hours liaison and communication, as is reasonably required. Reporting directly to our Contracts Manager, your role will be pivotal to the successful interaction with building residents and the overall successful project delivery for our works on site.

Duties include but is not limited to:

  • Preparation and circulation of regular rollout programmes, scope of works and activity schedules to residents to keep them appraised of our works and timeline and most notably when the precise location of our works directly impacts upon their respective flat location.
  • Liaising with the building residents and the property manager throughout the duration of our works on site.
  • First point of contact for building residents for any information required requests, feedback and/or complaints. Those contacts are anticipated as being both verbal and written and will require formal logging, information gathering and ultimately proper resolution.
  • Arrangement of intermittent public events, such as resident’s coffee morning, and similar such like ‘meet and greets’ together with resident’s meetings, either pre-arranged or ad-hoc.
  • Log all complaints, feedback and interaction within a recognised system together with any associated resolutions, record information, rollouts, etc
  • Preparation of a monthly report on the resident’s interaction which will be incorporated within our overall monthly progress report to the Client.
  • Preparation of minutes of meetings with subsequent issue to affected parties and the saving of same within the project server.
  • Monitor and resolve resident’s complaints.
  • Work closely with our Site Project Manager to ensure a proper communication bridge

Requirements and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer care and/or a customer focused environment.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR (MANCHESTER BASED)

We are an established construction company, based in Glasgow and working throughout the United Kingdom. We undertake new build, refurbishment, building facades and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial, residential and retail sectors.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Administrator to join our team. The position will be a permanent position and based within our Manchester city centre office. Whilst the core activities will be during normal working hours, there may be requirement for out of hours liaison and communication only, as is reasonably required. Reporting directly to our Contracts Manager, your role will be pivotal to the operational efficiency of our office. Additionally, there will be interaction with building residents, affected by our site works, which, again, will also be integral to the overall successful project delivery of those works.

 

Duties include but is not limited to:

Providing office support including customer and employee support

Keeping well organised files and records of our business activity

Maintaining our Quality Assured systems and processes

Client, customer and resident interaction and liaison

Responding to telephone calls, emails and in person enquiries and allocating as appropriate

Communicating with our supply chain

Collecting and inputting company data

Sending company communications and correspondence

Preparing and issuing documents, be that in hard or soft copy

Assisting with minor technical matters and support

Acting as a personal assistant to the operational team

Scheduling appointments and events

Ordering and monitoring of administrative supplies and consumables

Organising and preparing meetings, be that in person or remote

Giving feedback on office efficiency and suggesting possible improvements

GROUND WORKER (GLASGOW BASED)

The role will be full time on a permanent contract and the successful candidate may be required to travel and/or work away from home. When that occurs, any associated costs will be reimbursable to you. Reporting to the Site or Project Manager, your duties will include for the following:

Duties include:

· Drainage works

· Ducting and draw pit installation

· Installation of new drainage pipework and connections

· Manhole construction

· Basic brickwork

· Installation of concrete foundations and slabs

· Kerbing

· Monoblocking

· General groundworks and labouring

· Site preparation

Requirements:

· Must be able to demonstrate relevant experience within the Construction Industry

· CSCS card

· First Aid certificate - desirable

· CPCS (upto 10T or over) - desirable
